Meet the Team
Ryan spent her childhood cruising Highway 37 to her family’s second home in Port Aransas. From a young age, she was drawn to the charm of this beautiful island community and enjoyed everything it had to offer.
After graduating from Churchill High School in San Antonio, she accepted a scholarship to play Division I NCAA Volleyball at the University of San Diego. There, she earned a bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies with a minor in Education Leadership. During this time, she recognized the value of becoming bilingual and, following graduation, moved to Central America for a year to teach English and immerse herself in learning Spanish.
Despite her travels, the Island continued to call her home. Upon returning to Port Aransas, she joined the family’s interior design business, where she worked closely with clients, selected materials, and oversaw both remodeling and new construction projects. This experience allowed her to collaborate with reputable builders and suppliers, while also honing her ability to assess the potential and suitability of properties based on individual needs.
A career in Real Estate became a natural progression. After becoming a licensed Texas Real Estate Agent, she joined Port Aransas Realty, where she represented a wide range of buyers and sellers—ranging from those seeking private second homes, to investment properties, to clients relocating to the area.
Her career continued to grow when she was relocated from the Island Moorings Office to represent the boutique master-planned community of Sunflower Beach. This role enabled her to guide buyers in exploring new and unique real estate options within a thoughtfully designed community.
Driven by her passion for real estate, she went on to acquire her Texas Real Estate Broker License and, in 2019, founded her own brokerage—Tarpon Realty. The name was chosen to honor the coastal character and heritage of Port Aransas, reflecting the boutique and personal approach that defines her business philosophy. Today, she represents clients with interests in the Port Aransas market, providing expert guidance across a range of property types.
An active member of the local community, she serves on the board of the Port Aransas Preservation and Historical Association and contributes to several charitable causes, including the Texas Women Anglers Tournament, Ladies Powder Puff, and Trinity by the Sea Day School.
She and her husband, Matt, welcomed their daughter Joanie in July of 2022, followed by Emma in November of 2023. With all their immediate family living on the island, they feel deeply fortunate to raise their children in such a close-knit and meaningful environment. For her, calling Port Aransas home is both a privilege and a joy.
She looks forward to meeting new clients in person and providing exceptional service for all of their real estate needs.

Foster Scott
Foster Scott moved to Port Aransas from Fort Worth, Texas after slowly falling in love with the coastal bend. He spent many childhood summers enjoying the beach and laid back atmosphere with his extended family. After graduating from the University of North Texas with a Business Degree, he pursued a career based on his love for hockey.
Foster worked corporate sales for a North Texas hockey organization, where he also coached youth hockey and was the director of a summer sports camp. These were incredible years of his life, where he learned a variety of valued skills.
When he was offered the opportunity to manage a family owned hotel in Port Aransas, he decided to make a life change and move to the place he had enjoyed so much as a child. He was in charge for managing all onsite operations. One thing that remained a priority to him was making guests feel a personal and organic connection with the hotel.
Foster fell in love with Port Aransas and the community when he moved here. He realized he could take his entrepreneurial spirit and combine it with his desire to serve others by building a career in real estate, as well as managing his vacation rental management company, Sandbar Beach Rentals.
His passion for the community and love for connecting with others is what inspires him to help others make this special place their home.
Foster loves spending time with his wife and 2 daughters, and is an avid surfer and fisherman.
Samantha Kypke
Samantha Kypke has always had a creative nature. She grew up in Oklahoma but moved to Austin to explore her passion for culinary arts and pursue a degree from The Texas Culinary Academy Le Cordon Bleu.
After working in the fine dining industry, she followed family ties south and moved to Port Aransas. She worked as a manager for a boutique on the island, and later in interior design for a local firm. These experiences provided an opportunity for her to get to know the community and to showcase her eye for design. While doing so she also learned the facets of running a successful business. Soon, the opportunity came to chase a long-time dream of opening her own local restaurant, Sammy’s. But alas, hurricane Harvey had other plans and she was forced to close.
Samantha married a local home builder and has really enjoyed assisting with design and office projects. Real estate seemed like a logical next venture, so she studied and earned her license.
She is proud to have made Port A her home and loves the island life, and beachy aesthetic. She looks forward to advising sellers, and helping buyers find exactly what they are looking for.
